Kevin Hanick is a longtime Iowa City real estate agent who is deeply involved in the community. In addition to having been a partner at a local firm for more than 25 years, he is also the lead singer for the band, The Recliners, and taught literature and composition at the University of Iowa for more than a decade. Kevin holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of Iowa, is a member of the Iowa City Historic Preservation Commission and the Iowa City Public Art Committee, and is an active member of the Summer of the Arts Organization. He has also served on the Board of Directors for United Action for Youth, The Greater Iowa City Housing Fellowship, United Way Allocations, Iowa City Artsfest and has been active with Emergency Housing Project, Iowa City Kickers and Scouting.
Kevin was a member of the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and served as President in 1999-2000 and received the Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Kevin’s wife, Patricia, is a grant writer and consultant to the University of Iowa Museum of Art. They have three sons: Riley, Conor, and Emmet.
