Draw Together: Home Show 2018
Urban Acres Gives Back to Local Charities With Home Show “Draw Together” Life-Size Coloring Book Installation
The 2018 Home Show is February 9, 10, and 11 at The Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville
February 7, 2018 – Urban Acres Real Estate’s booth at the 2018 Home Show will focus on giving back to local charities, including The Crisis Center of Johnson County, the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation, and Systems Unlimited.
Home Show attendees can stop by the Urban Acres booth and for every square foot they color, a donation will be made to each charity, up to $500 per organization.
Becci Reedus, director of The Crisis Center of Johnson County, said she encourages people to visit the booth and work together to raise dollars for all of the organizations. “For us, we know it would not be possible for us to provide food assistance to the more than 13,000 individuals in Johnson County who visit our food bank or respond to the nearly 30,000 contacts on our crisis lines without the support of local businesses like Urban Acres.”
The 8-foot-tall coloring book installation features inspirations from the local community. Attendees can “draw together” for their favorite charity Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This installation is a great way to kick off the new year by giving back to the community,” said Urban Acres Agent Phil O’Brien. “We are excited to have members of the local charities stop by, color, and come together with members of the community who want to support all they do for the area. It’s an honor for Urban Acres to partner with these organizations.”
